Google recipe data (schema)

Added automatically; how to test it and what the warnings mean.

Every recipe page carries the structured data Google reads for recipe results: ingredients, steps (with sections), times, servings, photo crops in 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1, and ratings once reviews come in. There’s nothing to set up.

Test a recipe

Paste a recipe page address (not your home page) into Google’s Rich Results Test.

  • Valid with no issues: you’re done.
  • Non-critical issues (yellow): the recipe is valid and can show in search; Google would just like more, usually a photo, times or servings. They clear as you fill those in.
  • Errors (red): ask us. These shouldn’t happen with Recipe WP.

The home page, recipe lists and collection pages correctly show no recipe data; only single recipes have it.
