Recipe Versioning: change notes, compare and restore

Every save is kept; readers can see what changed.

Each time you save a recipe, its ingredients, steps, times, servings, notes, title and categories are kept as a version.

  • Write a short note in What changed? (“Cut the salt in half. Kitchen-Tested.”) and it shows under the instructions on the card. You can hide it per recipe.
  • Compare any two versions side by side from the Recipe history box.
  • Restore an old version in one click. Restoring makes a new version, so nothing is lost.
  • Quick edits a minute or two apart merge into one version.

Your intro text is covered by WordPress’s own Revisions.
